Sandy is currently the Human Resources Manager for Insco Distributing, Inc., a Latino, family owned, San Antonio based, and award-winning RUUD distributor, stocking a full line of residential & commercial HVAC equipment since 1958.
She has over 25+ years’ experience serving in C-suite and executive positions in healthcare, non-for-profit, and for-profit industries providing strategic support and guidance. Sandy has also had a consulting business where she advised businesses on various federal laws and regulations, proper procedures for recording information that protects and encourage businesses to grow, and optimal solutions when things go awry in the work environment for employees.
Her last consulting job was part of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program that was announced on April 17, 2020, where the USDA exercised authority under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act to purchase and distribute agricultural products to those in need. She worked with CEO of Cre8ad8 who was awarded $39.1 million on the first round of purchases occurring May 15 through June 20, 2020, through the USDA Farmers to Families Food Box Program. She oversaw the financial, operations and human resources aspects of the project that contribute to their success. The documentary tells the story in a global platform that has received multi-awards in film history.
Sandy has been an active SAHRMA volunteer/member since 2016. She has been part of the auction committee for the STHR Symposiums that lead to the beginning of her Board assignments. She has served on the SAHRMA Board as the College Relations Director and has served on the Executive Board of Directors as Treasurer and Secretary. She also was the 2021 Chair of the South Texas Human Resources Symposium.
Sandy holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Texas A & M University - San Antonio and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University.
