The Fall Learning Event,  Embracing New Technologies -- Benefits & Risks to the Workplace

Tuesday, October 1st, 6 to 8 pm, Vista Room.

Leading the discussion is a distinguished panel of subject matter experts sharing their relevant perspectives. Panel includes:

  • Stephanie Black PhD, Assistant Professor, Management, College of Business, A&M, San Antonio will present the scholar perspective on innovation as a disruptive force, bringing both benefits and risks.
  • Luis Torres PhD, Research Economist, Real Estate Center, A&M University, College Station, who will present the economist perspective on the impact of AI on Texas employers and employees. 
  • Jessica Kozak MS, Director of HR, Digital Transformation, H-E-B Grocery who will present the digital transformation at H-E-B and its impact to employees, customers, and suppliers. 
  • Jenn Betts JD., Ogletree/Deakins/Nash/Smoak & Stewart P.C.  on the legal landscape regarding new technologies and the associated risks to the workplace and pro-active measures employers and employees can take to mitigate those risks.

The event will be preceded at 5 to 6 pm with a mixer for students, faculty, staff, and guests with food and beverage.
